What information we collect

When you use our website

We collect standard website analytics data including pages visited, time on site, referring source, and approximate location (country/city level). We use cookies for essential website functionality and analytics. No personal data is sold to third parties.

When you use our Client Portal

Our Client Portal at aleksandraking.com/portal uses Google Sign-In to verify your identity. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We use this information solely to identify you and display the campaign documents shared with you.

The Client Portal accesses Google Drive metadata (file names, folder structure, and modification dates) associated with your account. We do not download, copy, or store the contents of your Google Drive files. All documents are displayed using Google's own embedded preview — your data remains within Google's infrastructure at all times.

When you become a client

When you engage our services, we collect the information necessary to deliver your campaign. This may include your name, email address, job title, organisation, biographical information, and links to published thought leadership content. This information is used to build your campaign materials and is stored securely within our Google Workspace environment.

We also collect payment information to process invoices. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers and we do not store credit card details on our systems.

When you appear on our podcast

If you are a guest on the Beyond with Aleksandra King podcast, we collect your name, biographical information, and any materials you provide for the episode. Usage of podcast content is governed by a separate Participation Agreement.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to deliver the marketing, AI visibility, and content services you have engaged us to provide; to give you access to your campaign documents via our Client Portal; to communicate with you about your campaigns, account, and our services; to send you relevant updates about our services (you can opt out at any time); to improve our website and services; and to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

AI Visibility Services

As part of our AI visibility service, we create and distribute structured content about you or your organisation across high-authority media databases and news services. This content is designed to be publicly accessible and to appear in AI-generated search results. By engaging our AI visibility services, you acknowledge that campaign content will be distributed to third-party media platforms and may be indexed by search engines and AI systems.

Campaign documents — including briefs, visibility reports, programme plans, press releases, and articles — are stored in our Google Workspace and shared with you via the Client Portal. These documents remain our property until final versions are delivered to you.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate our business: Google Workspace for document storage, email, and collaboration; Google Cloud Platform for authentication for the Client Portal; Google Drive API to display your campaign documents in the Client Portal; Squarespace for website hosting; and media distribution partners for press release and article distribution as part of our AI visibility services.

We only share your personal information with third parties where necessary to deliver our services, comply with the law, or protect our rights.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. Client data is stored within Google Workspace, which provides enterprise-grade encryption, access controls, and compliance certifications. Access to client documents is restricted to authorised team members and the client themselves via the Client Portal.

Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfil our legal obligations. Campaign data is retained for a minimum of two years after campaign completion to support ongoing measurement and reporting. You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to our legal obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate personal data, request deletion of your personal data, object to processing of your personal data, request restriction of processing, data portability, and withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies for site functionality and third-party cookies for analytics. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

Children

Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
